Has Norma Foley done anything in politics other than relentlessly supporting Micheal Martin?
Of course the real people to blame are the 10,302 voters who willingly gave her a first preference in the 2024 general election. Another 3,352 gave her preferences until she got elected on the 13th count.
At least the dopes in CJ Haughey’s cabinet were good to laugh at. No sane person could laugh at the antics and costly failures of this government’s eejits and nincompoops .
What amazes me is that way most of the media ignore any story that reflects badly on the political class. I will do them the honour of assuming that they went in to journalism with the lofty goal of exposing wrong and doing right. I just can't understand how anyone who starts a career with a noble aim can so quickly become a craven coward. I know that we are all human and make compromised and bad choices but I find it amazing that very few if any of them have the guts to say that this is wrong and no matter how much I am rewarded I can't go along with this and face myself in the mirror every day. Better a noble pauper than a well rewarded coward.
Ryan Tubridy was overpaid by 13% of his salary, having agreed to several pay-cuts over the previous years. Outrage; led the news for weeks. But this story, and hundred million euro-overspends in the public sector, will receive hardly any coverage and provoke no outrage. Why is that?
John, I'd bet all of *your* money that Norma Foley still has her CD copies of "A Woman's Heart" and "A Woman's Heart 2".

I wish we had Haugheys cabinet back. Jerry Collins. Ray Burke and P. Flynn excepted.

Because this report is an entirely different matter and unrelated.
That is why. 🫥
I'm dure Tusla will be getting a radical overhaul in the near future. It will be rebranded .. and that's about it .. nothing else will change.
