For many who may not have known of Nick Delahunty just maybe some will research out of curiosity who exactly is Nick Delahunty and actually like what he has being doing research wise. Hopefully the Irish Times have actually done Nick a favour and accelerate his following.
Just viewed "The Irish Question" podcast ( " Is the Irish media biased?) for the first time this week and as always, was mightily impressed by Nick Delehanty. I think he has a bright future. He has an independent mind and says what he believes and does not feel compelled to tick all the boxes that those on the hard right consider essential. I found it funny and rather farcical that some comments under the podcast were branding him as a leftie or someone to be dismissed because of his sincerely held views on Israel. The Right in Ireland will get nowhere if they insist that you must be on message with EVERY right wing view to be considered acceptable. The majority of Irish people are conservative with a small "c" in my opinion (with attitudes that have been informed by our history of being colonized which sit more comfortably on the left) and if the hardliners insist that purity demands they have a big "C" , they can forget about making any electoral gains.
I reckon journalists in the Irish Times ( and the rest of the legacy MSM) are irked by Nick, John, Sarah et al, cos they know they have been captured, they know they must toe the line on issues and that most of them would be out of jobs and out of business if they had to stand on their own two feet and not sell their souls to the political elite via complying to the conditions of Commisiun na Meain.
You can't hate the Irish mainstream media enough. I presume that arthur Beasley is well rewarded for his studied avoidance of engaging in real reporting of news

And written by Arthur Beesley, Current Affairs Editor. This wasn’t some junior reporter fresh out of DCU.
Truly, one of the most contemptible pieces of reporting this year. (The Times article, John, not yours!)

Despicable reporting from the Irish Times. Shame on them.
Well said John, another political hit piece by state sponsored media. Goebbels would be envious.
